Introducing Michelle Collins, Life Gardener
Michelle is an avid Alberta gardener who has 7 years experience working as support in the health and wellness fields including mental health and addictions. It was in these supportive environments that Michelle learned how to access the beliefs and practices that help people find wellness and balance in their lives.
Accomplishments
Michelle envisioned, developed and founded the My Life Blossoms Program – a women’s self care program that is aimed to improving health, weight and whole being. Michelle uses a highly personal approach that supports a nurturing experience for practical and balanced progress.
Michelle also enjoys spreading her wellness word through teaching courses and presentations on numerous wellness topics some that include:
“The Healing Spirit of Your Garden,”
“Come Play in My Garden,”
"Mandalas, Coloring for Grown Ups"
“Tea Tasting 101” which will be held in High River October 2008. This course gives people good information on tea as it gets more popular as a healthy drink alternative and to promote the benefits of downtime with tea.
Michelle has written articles for http://www.selfgrowth.com/ and http://www.ezinearticles.com/. Published in RISING WOMEN magazine Summer 2008 "Your Healing Garden."
Michelle has shared flowers from her cutting garden all summer via her My Cart Blossoms flower cart every Saturday morning. Here is a picture of the cart full of flowers.
Lost over 60 pounds and kept it off for the last 2 years. I am an avid information collector and set out to learn as much as I could about getting healthy. This is the information I will share with you.
- I am the founding president of the Claresholm Garden Club. The perseverance to grow and promote a fledgling organization requires good organizational skills, people skills...The club is thriving now and focuses on community beautification, contributing to our local food bank, and fundraisers such as an annual garden tour and plant sale.
